As Tucson's premier Salvage Grocery Store, often referred to as a 'Grocery Outlet,' McGary's Discount Groceries has been a family-operated business since its inception. Our journey began at the Tanque Verde Swap Meet, followed by the establishment of our Fort Lowell location in March 2012.
Eight years later, in July 2020, we proudly opened our doors at our new location on Oracle and Grant. Today, we stand as Tucson's sole Salvage food liquidator, specializing in a wide range of products including closeouts, discontinued items, and goods with damaged or opened packaging, as well as past-dated products. However, our offerings extend beyond just food, encompassing a variety of needs."
Our Mission: Ensuring Affordable Nourishment for Local Families
In response to the escalating costs of living and food prices, our primary mission is to offer financial relief to local families through affordable food options. We achieve this by providing discounted food items, which include products past their best-by dates, items with damaged packaging, store reset products, discontinued items, and seasonal goods. A significant portion of our inventory, ranging from 40% to 70% off regular retail prices, is dedicated to these discounted offerings.
Approximately 25% of our stock comprises convenience items.
These are essential everyday products such as milk, eggs, butter, and select cleaning supplies,
brought in specifically to cater to the needs of our local community.
While these items are priced at regular retail rates, they are integral to our commitment
to being a one-stop shop for our customers.
We stand behind the quality of our food products. If you ever purchase an item from us that is not consumable,
we encourage you to return it with the receipt. We are happy to offer an exchange for such instances, as part of our commitment to customer satisfaction and trust. Please note, we do not offer refunds.
